Experience
Clayoquot Sound from a new perspective - from single or double sea kayaks. Explore
miles of coastline replete with marine life like seals, sea lions, otters, marten,
bear, eagles, and all manner of sea birds and tidal creatures.
Often, whales can be seen in nearby shallow bays. The possibilities are endless
and all skill levels can participate successfully.
A favourite daytrip is the eight kilometre
paddle from Quait Bay to the Cypre River. View marine and wildlife, and hike spectacular
trails along the river valley. Bear watch during the late summer salmon run.
Other popular kayak excursions include whale, porpoise and bear watching in
nearby ____ Bay, and the day trek to Flores Island's Wild Side First Nations Interpretive
Trail, where hiking and kayaking mingle along marked trails of between 5 and 12
kilometres in length.
