Deluxe Tents
Deluxe tents are set back slightly into the forested hillside, overlooking the estuary and offer queen bed comfort plus a queen sofa bed. Interior furnishings and accessories are strictly turn-of-the century, with the exception of electrified vintage lighting and our trademark remote-controlled, propane-fuelled cast iron woodstoves.
Vintage oil lamps, candles, sparkling crystal and silver, and a requisite wash bowl and jug punctuate the period-inspired immersion. Billowy down duvets and pillows, luxurious white linens, and fluffy white cotton towels, complete the offering.
Landscapes change moment by moment, as the sun moves across the sky, painting dancing leafy shadows on the canvas inside, highlighting a verdant kaleidoscope outside. By night, vintage oil lamps and candles bounce light off interior walls, torches light up the waterfront boardwalk, tiny footlights lights illuminate the footpaths, and millions of stars light up the inky Clayoquot sky.
Each tent has a lovely private deck with an adjoining private outbuilding with single toilet. Just four deluxe tents remain, each sited discreetly and connected to a central boardwalk leading to charming amenity buildings with private assigned showers and sinks. A mini spa compound with a wood-stove-fueled wet/dry sauna overlooking the estuary, and a private round cedar hot tub, rests at water’s edge, just below the tents. The hillside location lends itself to extraordinary privacy and immersion - for honeymooning, romancing, retreating, or writing the next great novel.
Unplugged by choice: Though not advertised, complimentary guest wireless is available in all guest and lounge tents, and environs. To encourage complete relaxation, and to respect the intimate, low-tech nature of the resort experience, wireless is not available in dining tents, the spa, or the Cookhouse.
All guest tents provide plush robes, slippers, spa slippers, hair dryer, all-natural amenities (shampoo, lotion, conditioner, cotton balls, q-tips), all-natural sunscreen (for children and adults), all-natural insect repellent lotion and spray, ultra-fluffy white towels, and laundry service. AC plugs for charging phones and laptops are located throughout the living area.
